Description

PET structural foam
Rifeng T series PET structural foam is a closed cell thermoplastic foam material with excellent mechanical properties and can be used as structural core material, which can not only enhance structural strength and stiffness, but also greatly reduce the weight of the overall structure. Rifeng T series PET structural foam have good machinability, strong resin affinity (good bonding/filling with a variety of resins), suitable for a variety of processes and not easily deformed at higher temperatures, providing a lightweight solution for a variety of application scenarios. It has the characteristics of green and recyclable, making it an excellent and sustainable structural material.

Product Characteristics

  • Outstanding thermal stability: Rifeng T series PET structural foam can withstand 180℃ high temperature for a short time in the process of processing and 120℃ high temperature for a long time in the service life. The expansion rate in all directions is very small at 120℃ for 4 hours; After curing process, more effective to eliminate internal stress and improve adhesive strength.
  • Superior mechanical properties: Outstanding fatigue strength; Higher compressive, tensile, shear strength and modulus. High modulus means that it is not easy to produce deformation. 
  • Good applicability: Very friendly to most resins and most materials. It can not only be well combined with FRP, but also be well bonded with aluminum, iron, wood, stone and so on.
  • Excellent weight loss effect: Rifeng T seriesPET structural foam combined with fiberglass prepreg or wood can effectively reduce the weight of structural parts in order to save costs effectively.
  • Recyclability: Supercritical CO2 physical foaming technology is adopted, no emission is generated and no harmful substances are added in the production process. It’s a thermoplastic foam, which can be recycled after being scrapped.
