The Rifeng® X series is a composite PMI foam which is composed of PMI foam particles and resin bonded. Its density can be adjustable between 150~280kg/M3. And it has superior energy absorption, buffering and vibration damping (compression energy absorption rate up to 4J/cm3). In addition, the X series can be foamed in the mold to form parts of complex shapes at one time ( general PMI foam needs to be cut and NC--numerical control processing to obtain shaped parts), and can achieve the bonding with internal inserts, skeleton or surface shell during the foaming process, so as to simplify the structure and assembly.

 

The Rifeng® X series are mainly used in equipment with a density requirement of 150kg/m3 or above and a strength requirement of high. Such as ship composite materials and aisles, rail vehicle compartment plate and floor, bumper of car, floating bridge, decks, building houses and buffer protection layers for bridges, etc.

 

In addition, the inflaming-retardant type of Rifeng® X series has good inflaming regarding, no halogen, low smoke, no dripping, self-extinguishing from fire and oxygen index of 48.5%.

 

The composite PMI foam with multiple absorbing functional components has good absorbing properties in a wide frequency range. Its electromagnetic wave absorption property is long-term stable and isotropic, which is better than coating electromagnetic wave absorption material and honeycomb electromagnetic wave absorption material. Making it an excellent sandwich core solution for components requiring both radar absorption properties and superior mechanical performance.
